Motion sensor

A motion sensor was a device that detected moving objects.

In 2266, Spock noted a blip on the USS Enterprise's motion sensor, speculating that it was the Romulan Bird-of-Prey. After firing upon the ship, the motion sensor ceased to detect it. (TOS: "Balance of Terror")
