Doctor Morton K. Greenspoon, OD (13 January 19292 April 2018; age 89)[1] was a contact lens specialist and consultant who was hired by Paramount Pictures as a contact lens consultant for the Star Trek: The Next Generation fourth season episodes "The Drumhead" and "Identity Crisis", and the fifth season episode "Conundrum".

Greenspoon joined his father Reuben Greenspoon, also a contact lens specialist, in his practice Professional VisionCare Associates in 1951. In 1988 Greenspoon and Dr. Richard Silver joined as partners to form Professional VisionCare Associates and they worked in collaboration to create the technology for hand painted special effect soft contact lenses. As a still working optometrist, Greenspoon's practice is located in Sherman Oaks, California.

As contact lens consultant, Greenspoon worked on projects such as Salem's Lot (1979, starring David Soul), The Howling (1981, with Robert Picardo), Fright Night (1985, starring Chris Sarandon), Fright Night Part 2 (1988), The Lost Boys (1987), The Incredible Hulk Returns (1988), Dark Shadows (1991, starring Ben Cross and Jean Simmons), Bram Stoker's Dracula (1992), and Wolf (1994).
