Mizar II

Mizar II was the inhabited second planet in the Mizar system of the Alpha Quadrant. This was the homeworld for the Mizarians, a warp-capable pacifistic humanoid species.

Due to the Mizarians' traditions of peace, the planet was conquered six times in a matter of three centuries. (TNG: "Allegiance")

In 2259, the location of this planet's star system was labeled on a stellar cartography chart that was seen on the USS Enterprise's ready room viewscreen. This system's symbol had a blue color, indicating that it was affiliated with the United Federation of Planets. (SNW: "Strange New Worlds", "Spock Amok", "A Quality of Mercy")

This planet's quadrant of origin was inferred based on the position of its star system as seen in the star chart appearing in the Star Trek: Picard episode "Maps and Legends".

In a line cut from the filmed episode, the Mizarian Kova Tholl stated that the third-largest city on Mizar II was Pozaron. [2]

Apocrypha

In the Agents of Yesterday expansion pack of Star Trek Online, Mizar IV was shown to be the site of a Federation colony, suggesting the possibility that the Mizarian system was located within Federation space and that Mizar itself could be a member on the Federation Council.
