Mister Academy

Mister Academy was a nickname Miles O'Brien gave Starfleet Academy cadet Nog in 2373 as he suggested Benjamin Sisko use the Ferengi to relay messages to USS Defiant engineering.

Nearly all of the runabout's bridge control functions were inoperative, necessitating someone to relay the orders. O'Brien figured that Nog would be able to hear Sisko's commands above the sound of the bridge exploding. (DS9: "For the Uniform")
