Minarian star system

The Minarian star system was a formerly inhabited planetary system in the Alpha or Beta Quadrant.

Components

Stellar system

This was a single star system with Minara as the system's primary.

Planetary system

This system had several planets with a population in the millions. The Federation established an outpost on the uninhabited planet Minara II.

History

In 2268, this system's star began to go nova destroying all life in this system. A species known as the Vians was able to save one and only one of the planets in the system and chose the empathic inhabitants of Gem's planet due to their healing ability and capacity for self-sacrificing compassion.
