Michael Baxter
Michael Ryan Baxter was the 2nd Second Assistant Director on the Star Trek: Deep Space Nine first season episode "Emissary". He was also credited as Second Assistant Director on the episode "Dax". Baxter previously worked as second assistant director on several episodes of the fifth season of Star Trek: The Next Generation.
For his contribution to Deep Space Nine, Michael Baxter was listed as a Fleet Ops official on the dedication plaque of the starship USS Defiant.
Baxter began as a DGA trainee on such films as Ghost Dad (1990, featuring Dakin Matthews, Amy Hill and Eric Menyuk, with cinematography by Andrew Laszlo) and The Marrying Man (1991, featuring Don Keefer and Jeremy Roberts). He then served as 2nd Second Assistant Director on Paramount Pictures' The Addams Family (1991, starring Christopher Lloyd and Carel Struycken).
Baxter moved to the camera and electrical department and worked as grip and rigging grip on Suspect Device (1995), Female Perversions (1996), Black Rose of Harlem (1996), The Secret World of Alex Mack (1995-96), Leprechaun 4: In Space (1997), and American Pie (1999).
