Meslah V

Meslah V was the inhabited fifth planet in its star system. It was not a member of the Federation.

In 2257, the planet experienced major upheaval due to global volcanism, which eventually destabilized and destroyed the entire system. A conservative estimate of three billion inhabitants were forced to evacuate off-world; under the Meslah Population Relocation Project, they were resettled across over one thousand other star systems, including the Betteen colonies. Among the ships involved in the refugee relocation effort was the Gallough, which fell victim to the Gorn. (SNW: "All Those Who Wander" display graphic)
