Mead

Mead was an alcoholic beverage fermented from honey.

In the Beowulf holodeck program, King Hrothgar offered "Schweitzer" (The Doctor) some mead to fortify himself before the battle with Grendel. The Doctor politely refused. (VOY: "Heroes and Demons")

Worf referred to the bottles of Chateau Picard that Jean-Luc Picard sent to him from time to time as "sour mead". (PIC: "The Bounty")
