Markus Kurtz
Markus Kurtz (born 25 July 1970; age 55) is an Austrian effects artist who worked as the Computer Graphics (CG) Supervisor on Star Trek Nemesis as an employee of Digital Domain. Other films he worked on for Digital Domain include Paramount Pictures' Titanic (1997, as a "digital paraphernalia artist"), How the Grinch Stole Christmas (2000, as a lead digital artist), The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring (2001, as a 3D effects animator), The Italian Job (2003) and Stealth (2005, both as the CG Supervisor).
Kurtz later left Digital Domain and joined Rhythm & Hues, another effects company involved with Star Trek. As a member of Rhythm & Hues, Kurtz worked as CG Supervisor on Superman Returns (directed by Bryan Singer, who made a cameo in Star Trek Nemesis) and as the Digital Effects Supervisor on Happy Feet. Both films were released in 2006.
