Repair facility
A repair facility, maintenance facility, or repair base was a facility designated for the repair and maintenance of damaged starships.
In 2268, the USS Enterprise's star drive was completely burned out after all power was employed to phaser beams to fire on an asteroid which threatened the planet Amerind. All they had left was impulse power, and the only thing that could repair the ship was the nearest repair base. (TOS: "The Paradise Syndrome")
When Cal Hudson attempted to sway Benjamin Sisko into sympathizing with the Maquis in 2370, Hudson explained to Sisko how invaluable he could be, especially if Sisko let the Maquis use Deep Space 9 as a maintenance facility for their ships. Sisko denied the request, stating that he couldn't allow that. (DS9: "The Maquis, Part II")
The Kelvas facility was a Cardassian repair facility located in the Kelvas system. It was the location where Breen engineers began work installing their energy-dampening weapons aboard Jem'Hadar fighters. (DS9: "Tacking Into the Wind")
