A magnetic spindle bearing was a component of the reaction control assembly on Federation starships such as the Intrepid-class.

In 2373, Wixiban was able to obtain some magnetic spindle bearings for the USS Voyager on the Nekrit Expanse trade station. (VOY: "Fair Trade")
