Location 5499, section 16 was a location fifty thousand light years from the Sol system in the Beta Quadrant.

In 3188, Michael Burnham ordered the red angel suit to set temporal coordinates for this location, with a course heading of 214 mark 5. There, upon the closing of the spatial rift, the suit would transmit the final signal and initiate the self-destruct sequence. This final signal was detected by Starfleet in 2258.
