The lifeboat station was an emergency section aboard a starship housing a lifeboat.

Aboard the Y-class Earth Cargo Service freighter ECS Fortunate, signage on a door gave instructions what to do in an emergency situation. It reads that personnel should report to the nearest lifeboat station when the Abandon Ship Klaxon sounds. (ENT: "Fortunate Son")
