Laura Jane Salvato (born 2 February 1963; age 62) [1] is an actress who played Gia in the Star Trek: Deep Space Nine fourth season episode "Accession".

Salvato has also guest starred in Judging Amy (2000, with Sara Mornell, Suzie Plakson, Harry Groener, Mark Moses and Jay Karnes) and performed in a minor role in Living Out Loud (1998, starring Holly Hunter, with Gina Philips, Tamlyn Tomita, Willie Garson, Henry Woronicz and Jenette Goldstein). She also guest-starred in an episode of ER (2007, with Scott Grimes and Leland Orser).

Salvato later worked as one of the two artistic directors of Ensemble Studio Theatre-LA and has also starred in and produced several plays.
