Kylata II

Kylata II was the second planet in the Kylata system. This system was located in the Gamma Quadrant.

In 2371, this M-class planet was scanned by the USS Defiant; however, the crew didn't have the time to beam down to the surface of the planet for a closer look. (DS9: "Meridian")

This planet was only mentioned in dialogue.

The planet's name was from StarTrek.com and the Star Trek Encyclopedia, 4th ed., vol. 1, p. 449. [1](X) In the episode, it was not given a name and was described as the "second planet in the Kylata system".

According to the script, the pronunciation for Kylata was "KIE-lah-tuh". [2]

According to Star Trek: Star Charts (p. 75), the Kylata system was a destination on the Gamma Quadrant Bio-Survey (2369-75).
