Kepler-174d was an inhabited planet.

In the mirror universe, Emperor Philippa Georgiou once scouted the planet and found it "quite beautiful". She found a family of artists there who produced sublime paintings and sculptures unmatched anywhere else.

In 2255, Captain Michael Burnham carried out a mission to Kepler-174d. She later commented favorably about its flora and architecture to Georgiou, and also mentioned that she had the aforementioned artists blinded and their hands removed, so that their works would appreciate in value.
