Keeper (katra)

A keeper was someone who housed a Vulcan's katra after their death.

In 2285, during the fal-tor-pan ceremony, High priestess T'Lar questioned who was the keeper of Spock's katra, after which the man in question, Leonard McCoy, identified himself in the same manner in which that she had addressed Sarek; "I am ...McCoy...Leonard H. ...son of David."
