Kanda IV was the inhabited fourth planet in its star system. Located somewhere in the Alpha or Beta Quadrant, it was in the same sector as El-Adrel IV, Malindi VII, Razna V, and Shantil III.

In the history of this world, there was an emperor of the Seventh Dynasty named Darmok. (TNG: "Darmok")

This planet was only mentioned in dialogue.
In the script, the pronunciation for Kanda was "KAHN-duh". [1]
