Jeff Ayers is the author of Voyages of Imagination, a Star Trek companion book published by Pocket Books categorizing the various novels. He is a regular reviewer for the Associated Press, Library Journal, and Booklist.

Ayers' first memory of Star Trek was watching TOS: "That Which Survives" as a child. Voyages of Imagination was his first published book, in addition to his reviews and articles. [1]

He is also the co-author of various thriller novels under pseudonyms A.J. Landau (with John Land) and J.B. Abbott (with Brian Tracey).
