Jaxa was a Starfleet cadet mentioned in the script for Star Trek. However, in the movie the line with Jaxa's name was inaudible or cut completely. Jaxa was also mentioned in the novelization of Star Trek.

Jaxa was supposed to be one of the cadets assigned when Vulcan was attacked by the Narada in 2258, to the USS Endeavour.
