Jason Claridge
Jason Claridge is a scenic artist who worked as Head Scenic Paint Coordinator on Star Trek Beyond. [1]
Claridge attended the University of Victoria between 1989 and 1994 and graduated with a BFA with honors in Painting. He started his career as scenic artist and painter on Viper (1997, starring J. Downing and Dawn Stern), Seven Days (1998, starring Norman Lloyd and Alan Scarfe), and It's True (1998, starring Dean Stockwell), Final Destination (2000, with Tony Todd), Antitrust (2001), Thirteen Ghosts (2001, starring F. Murray Abraham, music by John Frizzell, and production design by Sean Hargreaves), and Taken (2002, with Matt Frewer, Eric Close and Anton Yelchin).
Further credits as head paint coordinator or paint foreman include Scary Movie 3 (2003), Catwoman (2004), Fantastic Four (2005), Scary Movie 4 (2006), Eight Below (2006, starring Bruce Greenwood), Bionic Woman (2007, starring Miguel Ferrer), Case 39 (2009), 2012 (2009), Red Riding Hood (2011), Life Unexpected (2010) and Motive (2013, with Roger R. Cross), Elysium (2013), Godzilla (2014), and Seventh Son (2014).
Claridge later worked as head scenic paint coordinator on Tomorrowland (2015, written and produced by Damon Lindelof and production design by Scott Chambliss), The Revenant (2015, starring Tom Hardy), and Warcraft (2016, with Clancy Brown).
