John Adam Huggins is a photographer, photojournalist, and occasional actor who appeared as a Discovery engineer in Star Trek: Discovery. [1] [2] He also played the mirror universe counterpart of the character in the episode "Terra Firma, Part 1". [3] As a background performer, he was not credited for his appearances.

Huggins in an award-winning documentary photographer, who worked in 20 countries across five continents, and worked for publications including The New York Times, The New York Post, Der Spiegel, ELLE, and COLORS. He lived and worked in India between 2002 and 2006, then he got a one-year residency at FABRICA in Italy. He returned to India in late-2006 and lived there until 2009.

His work has been exhibited around the world in venues such as Centre Pompidou (Paris), La Triennale di Milano (Milan), the Shanghai Art Museum, and Shiodomeitalia Creative Center (Tokyo).
