Irtok

Irtok was a star system in the Alpha Quadrant. This system was near Ferenginar.

History

When, in 2374, Rom floated the possibility that the Dominion had conquered Ferenginar, Major Kira Nerys countered that it could not have been taken without first conquering systems like Irtok and Clarus. Misunderstanding this response, Rom assumed Irtok had been taken over by the Dominion, too, but as Worf pointed out moments later, there had been no reports of Dominion activity in or near that system. Stellar cartography

The system's location was labeled in a Federation star chart that was in Fleet Admiral Kirsten Clancy's office at Starfleet Headquarters in 2399 and on the bridge of the USS Titan-A in 2401. Irtok was in or near to Ferengi space. (PIC: "Maps and Legends", "The Next Generation", "Disengage")

The primary of the Irtok system was classified as a G-class star by the Star Trek: Star Charts ("United Federation of Planets I") and Stellar Cartography: The Starfleet Reference Library ("Federation Historical Highlights, 2161-2385").
