Integration parameter

Integration parameters were crucial to the proper operation of a transporter. Without their proper calibration, transportation was impossible.

When trying to rescue Cyrano Jones from Koloth in 2269, Montgomery Scott was temporarily unable to re-materialize the trader in the USS Enterprise's transporter room because the Klingon's phaser attack on Jones' ship had somehow "decalibrated the integration parameters".
