Insider

An insider was an individual who was a member of a group, thereby granting them knowledge and insight which outsiders were not privy to.

The title of Q Junior's essay, I, Q: An Insider's View of the Continuum, self-described the author as an insider in the Q Continuum (and therefore privy to the secrets thereof). (VOY: "Q2")
