Hypocrisy

Hypocrisy was when someone claimed to have beliefs or values that they did not actually hold. Those who practiced hypocrisy were called hypocrites.

In 2365, while asked what he was doing, Data said, "I detest hypocrisy." (TNG: "The Schizoid Man")
