Hypnotic screen

A hypnotic screen was an effect that blinded certain individuals via hypnosis to the presence of something.

In 2267, Spock said, "I suggest the possibility of a hypnotic screen, which blinds all but the victim to the presence of the killer." (TOS: "Wolf in the Fold")
