(written from a production point of view)

Hyperion Books was an American book publisher whose Star Trek-related books include Leonard Nimoy’s memoir I Am Spock and the biography Gene Roddenberry: The Myth and the Man Behind Star Trek.

Hyperion Books was founded in 1990 as a book publishing division of the Walt Disney Company. In 2013, Hachette Book Group acquired more than 1,000 Hyperion adult books from Disney; this publishing program was rebranded as "Hachette Books." [1]

Following this acquisition, Disney continued to publish certain children's books under the imprint names "Hyperion Books for Children" and "Disney-Hyperion" (a.k.a. "Disney Hyperion"). In 2021, Disney launched a new adult book publishing imprint named "Hyperion Avenue." [2]
