Hunger strike

A hunger strike was a form of protest in which participants refrained from eating.

While detained by the Tandarans in 2152, Travis Mayweather suggested to his captor Klev that he would go on hunger strike after trying a bowl of food which he found displeasing. (ENT: "Detained")

In 2377, ten Klingon passengers aboard the USS Voyager went on hunger strike to pressure B'Elanna Torres into meeting with the Klingon Council of Elders. (VOY: "Prophecy")
