Horath (song)

The Horath was a Haliian song, often sung at the Batarael celebration every year.

In Aquiel Uhnari's family, she sang the Horath every year during the Batarael until she was assigned to Relay Station 47. (TNG: "Aquiel")

The lyrics, as sung in the Haliian language start:

"Jomiael hahnalia ma marou natalia
Rumael tavariel fatra di va Jomiael..."
Interestingly, Jomiael is Hebrew for "day of God" and is the name of one of the fallen angels.
Rumael is the name of a Nephilim – a fallen angel – in Madeleine L'Engle's book Many Waters.
