Heel
For the dog command, please see heeling.
The heel was a part of the foot.
Heels were the subject of many idioms.
- Achilles' heel
- Dig one's heels in
- Hang someone up/drag them in by their heels
- Head over heels
- Under one's heel
In 2367, Beverly Crusher wondered if simply thinking could restore her universe, referencing The Wizard of Oz: "Click my heels together three times and I'm back in Kansas. Can it be that simple?". (TNG: "Remember Me")
In 2372, the The Clown also referenced this work, taunting "Try clicking your heels together three times" (to leave his torturous games behind.) (VOY: "The Thaw")
