Half Dome

Half Dome was a geological formation located in a valley in Yosemite National Park.

In the story "Flotter and the Perfect Day", the first chapter opened with elk frolicking in front of this formation and eagles soaring over the valley. These animals were soon frightened by the appearance of an alien spacecraft taking position over the valley. The valley, and Half Dome, were reduced to rubble by a green beam of destruction emitted by this vessel. (VOY: "Lineage")
