Gray zone

The gray zone was a section of the derelict Borg cube known as the Artifact. This zone, which housed former Borg Collective drones, was divided into research areas. The zone was accessed through a checkpoint.

There were a series of rules governing the conduct of research personnel in this zone. These rules were: stay to your assigned research area; assume that any fixture or instrument could be malignant; removal of any Borg tech from this zone would result in prosecution; maintain a safe distance from former Borg members; and always wear a gradient badge.

In 2399, Soji Asha, Narek, and Naáshala Kunamadéstifee were assigned to the gray zone. (PIC: "Maps and Legends")
