Gort was an android who accompanied the character Klaatu in the 1951 film The Day the Earth Stood Still.

In 2153, the Vissian cogenitor Charles asked Trip Tucker why the Humans in the movie feared Klaatu and his android. (ENT: "Cogenitor")

In 2259, Christopher Pike was cooking breakfast at his home in Bear Creek, Montana while watching a scene from The Day the Earth Stood Still that featured Gort along with Klaatu. (SNW: "Strange New Worlds")

Gort was played by actor Lock Martin.
