Named on the book jacket of The Pallid Son

The Goines family was the name of a family in the novel The Pallid Son, part of the Dixon Hill series.

They were described in the blurb for the novel as a "once-great, but now ruined" family. An eccentric daughter of this family had made enemies of the rich and influential members of the secretive The Titan Club. Because of her ongoing conflict with the club, she was considered a possible suspect in the murders of the club's members. (PIC: "Watcher")
