Glumpus

The Glumpus (or simply Glumpus) was the creation of a parallel universe USS Endeavour, under the command of Captain Tersal. When the Endeavour was pulled through a quantum fissure into the prime universe. The stranded Endeavour crew attempted to gather energy and materials to construct a dimensional gate, which manifested to outside observers as a destructive nanite cluster on the cruise ship Cosmic Duchess, getting Starfleet attention.

The USS Cerritos was assigned to capture it; an away team attempted to lure the cluster, named "Glumpus" by Lieutenant jg Sam Rutherford. Despite some setback, Lieutenant jg T'Lyn was able to use the vibe tubes to expertly disrupt the Glumpus' signal, causing it to explode. (LD: "The Best Exotic Nanite Hotel")
