The Global Security Net was a system of defensive procedures in place to protect Earth in case of attack.

In 2372, it was disabled by Red Squad as part of Vice Admiral Leyton's planned overthrow of Federation President Jaresh-Inyo during the Changeling scare of that year. (DS9: "Paradise Lost")
