Giuseppe Verdi

Giuseppi Verdi was an Italian composer of European classical music during Earth's 19th century.

In 2376, The Doctor referred to him as "a towering figure in Earth's musical history" (VOY: "Virtuoso")

In 2377, The Doctor declared himself an expert on several Alpha Quadrant artists, including Verdi. (VOY: "Flesh and Blood")

Among Verdi's works are the operas Rigoletto (featuring the famous song "La donna è mobile") and Don Carlos. (TNG: "A Matter Of Time"; VOY: "Virtuoso")

Verdi was born in 1813 and died in 1901. (Star Trek Encyclopedia, 4th ed., vol. 2, p. 456)
