Gene Wolande (born 3 September 1956; age 68) created the story of the Star Trek: Deep Space Nine second season episode "Cardassians" with John Wright.

Wolande primarily works as an actor and has appeared in RoboCop (1987, starring Peter Weller, with Ronny Cox, Kurtwood Smith, Robert DoQui and Ray Wise), Chaplin (1992), L.A. Confidential (1997, with James Cromwell, Paul Guilfoyle, Jim Metzler, Steve Rankin, and Symba Smith), and The Negotiator (1998, with Tim Kelleher, Paul Guilfoyle and Brad Blaisdell). Wolande has guest-starred in Weird Science, Married... with Children (with Tom McCleister), Desperate Housewives, Sons of Anarchy (with Ron Perlman), and Carnivàle.
