Garth system

The Garth system was the Malcorian designation for a star system near the planet Malcor III. The system was located somewhere in the Alpha or Beta Quadrant and was over two thousand light years from Sol.

It was to be the destination of the first Malcorian warp speed space flight in 2368. (TNG: "First Contact")

This system was only mentioned in dialogue.
Distance from Sol for the Garth system was taken from the distance given for Malcor III from Sol by Deanna Troi.
