Garth Pillsbury (born 8 May 1938; age 87) is a former actor who played Wilson in the Star Trek: The Original Series second season episode "Mirror, Mirror" and a Troglyte prisoner in the third season episode "The Cloud Minders".

He filmed his scene for "Mirror, Mirror" on Wednesday 2 August 1967 at Desilu Stage 9, and his scene for "The Cloud Minders" on Wednesday 20 November 1968 at Desilu Stage 10.

Interviewed by Bryan Kreutz and Lili Fox-Lim in 2024 for the television talk show series A Captain's Log Pillsbury revealed while playing Wilson he originally was set to punch William Shatner as James T. Kirk in the corridor while Kirk exits the turbolift in the Original Series episode "Mirror, Mirror" but Shatner didn't want Pillsbury "punching" him being replaced by a stunt performer. [1] Also, Pillsbury revealed while appearing in "The Cloud Minders" third season Original Series episode, was his favorite role with more lines of dialogue as the Troglyte prisoner. [2]

Outside of Trek, Pillsbury has appeared in The Invaders (starring Roy Thinnes, with Barry Russo and Byron Morrow), as well as a number of films from directors Russ Meyer and Larry Buchanan.

Since then, Pillsbury left acting and ventured into photography. He became a professional photographer in the late 1960s, working for the Los Angeles Police Department, and later for magazines such as Playboy and Penthouse. Currently, he lives in Hollywood, California with his wife, and works as an art photographer.
