Future imperfect

Future imperfect was a tense of verbs used in describing an action that was in continuation or progress.

In 2365, the word "future imperfect" could be seen as a header in the Context Indices when Data was reviewing the file on the non-verbal language (gestural) M-9. (TNG: "Loud As A Whisper", display graphic)
