Fritz Weaver
Fritz Weaver (19 January 1926–26 November 2016; age 90) played Kovat in the Star Trek: Deep Space Nine second season episode "Tribunal".
Weaver was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and appeared in motion pictures such as Fail-Safe, Marathon Man (1977), The Day of the Dolphin (1977), Black Sunday (1977, with William Daniels, Walter Gotell, Clyde Kusatsu, and Robert Ito), The Big Fix (1978, with F. Murray Abraham), and The Thomas Crown Affair (1999, starring Pierce Brosnan). Weaver starred in Creepshow (1982, with Adrienne Barbeau, Don Keefer, Robert Harper, and Jon Lormer).
Science fiction fans may also remember from The Twilight Zone as the Chancellor in "The Obsolete Man" and William Sturka in "Third From the Sun". He also appeared in the mini-series The Martian Chronicles, based on the book by Ray Bradbury, alongside Bernie Casey. He was also internationally known for his portrayal of Doctor Josef Weiss in the 1978 mini-series Holocaust, directed by Marvin Chomsky, which also starred David Warner. Weaver also guest-starred in Frasier (starring Kelsey Grammer and Natalija Nogulich), The X-Files (1996, starring Gillian Anderson, with John Neville and Brendan Beiser), Mission: Impossible, The Streets of San Francisco, and Murder, She Wrote, among many more.
