Free Haven

Free Haven was an inhabited planet in the Alpha Quadrant.

History

In the 24th century, this planet was the home for a Bajoran colony. In 2372, this colony came under attack by Breen privateers. The Breen were repulsed by the USS Defiant. (DS9: "To the Death")

Stellar cartography

In 2259, the location of the planet was labeled on a stellar cartography chart that was seen on the USS Enterprise's ready room viewscreen. This system's symbol had a yellow color, indicating that it was affiliated with Cardassia Prime. (SNW: "Strange New Worlds")

In the early 24th century, the location of this system was labeled in a chart used during a Section 31 Alpha Team briefing. (Star Trek: Section 31)

The planet's location was labeled in a Federation star chart that was in Fleet Admiral Kirsten Clancy's office at Starfleet Headquarters in 2399 and on the bridge of the USS Titan-A in 2401. Free Haven was in or near to Federation space. (PIC: "Maps and Legends", "The Next Generation", "Disengage")

According to StarTrek.com, Star Trek: Star Charts (p. 46), and Stellar Cartography: The Starfleet Reference Library ("Federation Historical Highlights, 2161-2385"), this colony orbited a K-class star. [1](X)
