Fred Janos is an actor who appeared as a background actor in two episodes of Star Trek: The Next Generation. He received no credit for these appearances.

Janos portrayed the patient Mr. Phelps in the ER episode "The Match Game" (1996, with Bill Cobbs, Lily Mariye, Ann Shea, Terrence O'Connor, Johnetta Anderson, Megan Gallagher, Melissa Vinicor, and Ilona Wilson) and worked as a regular background actor on the drama series Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman (1993-1998, with regulars Joe Lando, Chad Allen, Frank Collison, Barbara Babcock, Erika Flores, Hélène Udy, and Jason Leland Adams).
