Finger mark

Finger marks were the indentations left behind on an individual's skin after sufficient force was applied.

In 2365, while playing the role of Sherlock Holmes in the holodeck program Sherlock Holmes Program 3A, Data noted the finger marks on a man's neck and concluded that he was strangled. (TNG: "Elementary, Dear Data")
