A field impeller was a component of both the port and starboard nacelle aboard the NX-Alpha and NX-Beta.

In 2143, a pre-flight schematic of the NX-Alpha included callouts of both the port and starboard field impellers at the front of each nacelle. (ENT: "First Flight")
