Ferengi code

Ferengi code was a series of rules governing the operation of Ferengi starships.

According to DaiMon Tarr, Ferengi code mandated the offering of the lives of their second officers as part of their terms of surrender. Data then noted that Starfleet had no such rules, however. (TNG: "The Last Outpost")
