Federation transport container

The Federation transport container was a type of Federation spacecraft utilized by Starfleet during the latter half of the 23rd century.

The transport container was cylindrical in shape with a connecting port on the dorsal surface. This port connected the container to the Ptolemy-class, which ferried the container to its destination.

A graphic displaying a vessel of this class appeared on the Starfleet Academy bridge simulation in 2285, as well on the bridge of the Enterprise. (Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan; Star Trek III: The Search for Spock)
