Farewell dinner

A farewell dinner was a meal honoring someone who was departing.

In 2364, there was to be a farewell dinner given in Admiral Gregory Quinn's honor. Wesley Crusher was initially reluctant to attend, given his failure to pass the Starfleet Academy entrance examinations, but Picard assured him he was not a failure. (TNG: "Coming of Age")
